How We Contributed to the Roofing Deployment Project
DOWNERS GROVE – In June 2019, AmeriPro Roofing, Inc., (AmeriPro), the largest residential roofing contractor in the U.S., was recognized by Owens Corning™ for their contribution to the Roof Deployment Project. This is AmeriPro Roofing’s second award since the program began three years ago.
Launched in 2016 by Owens Corning, the Roof Deployment Project aims to inspire, activate and match Owens Corning’s network of independent Platinum Preferred Contractors with military families around the country to deliver and install a free, new roof. The program is designed to show the country’s gratitude to our soldiers. To date, Owens Corning has only handed out 122 awards to Platinum Preferred Contractors. AmeriPro Roofing received the seventy-fifth award and are now the proud recipient of the one hundred and twenty-second award.
For AmeriPro Roofing giving back to the veteran community is a huge focus, not just on a customer level, but they have a strong commitment to recruit and hire veterans. Being part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project allows them to make a difference for military individuals in their local communities.
AmeriPro Roofing’s second award was received in recognition of a roof replacement project completed earlier this year for Vietnam veteran Ted Tribbett of Bloomington, Illinois. At nearly twenty years old, Ted Tribbett’s roof was showing its age. So, AmeriPro Roofing, Habitat for Humanity of McLean County, and Owens Corning Roofing Company all pitched in to give him a new one.
“I just thank the Lord that all of this was put together for us,” Tribbett, a Vietnam veteran, said. “Comes at a time when it was much needed due to health conditions, income was slow coming in, and so a lot of good things from a lot of good people.”
